The rise of social media was important because if you go back for those who were old enough to be in the technology industry prior to the iPhone and social media. API's are making it really easy for software vendors to connect with each other and provide solutions to these small businesses. AI is going to enable a lot of functionality whether it's billing, marketing, outreach to customers or customer care.
