The Benefits of Longer Muscles
When you train at longer muscle lengths, it also shifts the length force curve a bit. So your body, there's adaptations that allow you to produce force better in those positions. I think what it comes down to is we're just exposing the joints and soft tissues to load at those ranges of motion for longer periods of time. If someone has pain, hamstring pain, and we do loaded RDLs and we have a pause at the bottom, the more that we can Load that tissue in that length and position and just expose it to it, get accustomed to it, desensitize it, the better.
