Is There a Future for Missile Defense?
We're in a slow-motion arms race and you can see Russia dusting off some of these crazy cold war concepts. You see China revising its nuclear arsenal and going from a very small minimum deterrent up to something that will be on par with the current arsenals in Russia and the United States within a decade or two. It's a different world. And we can't assume that this relatively benign status quo that has persisted since the early 1990s is going to be with us into the future.
