Microsop is trying to fast follow, but built on much older umfa structure. Native clients on all platforms at microsop have become excellent through building and buying. And the the cloud applications have held their own. You can do real time collaboration now with with microsops applications. But like theratsoy, they have advertising problems that they need to address that are more serious.
