Sally Kohn: I think that memory is everything. And it's also nothing. It's like we need memory for pretty much everything we do from the moment we wake up. We don't pay attention to most of our day really, and so we don't remember it. But if you've known someone with Alzheimer's, like my Nana, it's devastating. She will forget all of your history but still know how to feel joy, lonely, anger, love, connection. Right? That's human.
