Is LDL Carrying Cholesterol Good for Cell Membranes?

Saladin: The idea that having a higher level of LDL carrying cholesterol is so, it's not doing anything. So we can deposit cholesterol to cells and deliver it there but in the absence of that, you know, a cell can synthesize its own cholesterol. And as that gradient increases, the risk of cardiovascular disease linearly increases.
