Randy Cevallos talks about how he came up with the concept of 'how to be miserable' He says that when we're already depressed, we are tempted to do precisely that which will make us more depressed. We were not involved in our evolutionary adaptation to be happy and pass along our bad stuff as a survival tool for later life. And so if there's one thing happening on an environment where there's ten safe things happening, indreothed tiger is going to spend most time looking at the saber-tooth tigers.
