The Passover Story Is About Going From a Slave Mentality to a Freedom Mentality

The whole passover story is about leaving egypt, in hebrew, is mitraim and matsar means a constricted space. And what was so hard for the jewish people was that they weren't even willing to accept that they were going to be freed. We're likerno unwilling to see that there's something great and amazing waiting for us. It's scary to come out of that mentalicaus. So we start with expansiveness, to open ourselves up to the rest ofow as soon as possible.
