i've been on quite a journey with this, because i've really wanted my, you know, to help my family be healthy. And the word that you used in all those, that jumped out to me just now, is the word real, yes. I can have a tendencyo to set too high a standard and im and to feel like a failure if i don't reach that standard. So when we're trying to discern it's also to discern your internal voice, that intuition, over even sensible sounding ideas and thoughts from around you.
Discernment is at the core of what it means to be an Essentialist.
It helps us sort through the trivial many and identify the essential few. It allows us to see things as they really are. It guides our intuition, helping us make decisions and take actions that really matter.
Join me and my wife Anna as we discuss how we can become better at discerning the world around us.
In this episode, we talk about:
- Recognizing the inklings of discernment
- Trusting your intuition
- How to develop discernment in the different areas of your life
