Is There a Fluency Assessment?
Fluency assessment can give a sense of where pupils are at in reading comprehension. But it doesn't tell us why they're behind, so other aspects need to be considered. This could include vocabulary or background knowledge - but also teaching them how to make sense of text themselves.
