The Third Layer of Belief About Self

The act technique focuses on that third layer of belief about self. When we reveal the pain of what we're thinking to ourselves, it's like a candle flame. Our brain will very naturally subconsciously start to let go of that thought because we're like, Oh, that's painful. So there is where, okay, when I think alcohol relaxes me, I'm stressed after a hard day. And I think that and I'm not going to allow myself to drink. But guess what your brain has a ton of evidence for the fact that it does. That's my theory.
