The Effects of Carbohydrates on Performance

It could be a centrally mediated mechanism because we know that that's not going to get into the system and if you're talking 15 grams of carbohydrate making that difference then that's in the course of a day. I think it's certainly something I would encourage people to experiment with worst case it's going to have zero effects but somebody might feel that slight boost from it. The placebo effect or the desire for something has an absolutely direct effect on the motivation, which is increasing your ability to essentially do something with a lot of effort.
