The Benefits of Sunlight

Sunshine has a number of physiologically beneficial effects on the body. These include lower blood pressure, improved moods and reduced heart disease. The skin contains large stores of nitric oxide which relaxes muscles that line arteries. Nitric oxide is essential for keeping your arteries relaxed and thus your blood pressure healthfully low. It's not vitamin D because although people with measured high vitamin D levels are less likely to have high blood pressure strokes, heart attacks, given them vitamin D supplements does absolutely nothing.
