I think it just feels jarring to, you know, immerse yourself in a puzzle to be rewarded by no longer touching the game. And second, your argument is that people don't really like solving puzzles. I think we finally figured out how to merge the two. We have to find a way to make these games last. Well, what do you do? Throw up a bunch of rudimentary but time consuming roadblocks for the player.
