Being Bored Is a Choice
Boredom is an uncomfortable feeling of being disengaged from the world around us. The quote i like to use the most comes from leo tolstoy in annacarenina, where he describes ennui as the desire for desires that aren't there. So if we're bored, it's clear that we're not acting on the world in an effective way. We're not being very good agents. And so it's not whether or not something is new or ting or creative,. It's whether or not you're in control of it and deciding what to do. Because whatever you're deciding matters to you and is meaningful to you.
