Change Is Not About Sameness
Change requires that we get to that place of self acceptance. It does not require that we tell people how to change. The right choice they make is towards growth when they're in a position where they can make that choice and choose it. Sameness is more powerful. It's more sophisticated. You know, it's got a hold of us. So why are we looking at sameness instead of change? Because we can figure out the sameness and kind of understand it. And so the book is really about all the forces that make us the same.
