The party would no longer be known as the bolshevik faction of the russian social democratic labor party. This is the moment in history when the communists become the communists. The transition from the revolution of 19 17 phase to the civil war phase and beyond is helpfully marked by the fact that we stop talking about bolsheviks and start talking about communists.
