CHAPTER

Is Your Pain Publicly Observable?

I suppose the data of physics are available to anybody. Daniel Dennett is really consistent on this. He thinks, my consciousness cannot be empirically verified and therefore it doesn't exist. I am directly aware of my own feelings and experiences. If I'm in pain, it's just right there for me. My pain is just totally directly evident to me but you from the outside cannot directly access my pain. You can access my pain behavior, or you can ask me, but you can't access my pain in the way that I can access myPain.
