Relationships Take Work

Everybody wants things to be easy. We all want to be in the relationship where no one has to try and our love languages are exactly the same. I really think that kind of thinking does not support the wonderful fact that relationships taking work is kind of a cool thing too. The idea that two people are putting in effort to understand this totally different human being with different needs and preferences, like that's a wonderful thing. That's like the essence of love, isn't it? When you do something because it’s hard and because you desire to understand someone and because you want them to feel fulfilled in ways that might not be easy for you.
