Vector Nine Patches - It's Awesome!

There was a bit of an explanation in that article about the curves are how to use them and so on. So I was going to ask you about nine patches. But now that you've opened it up, why did we pick nine patches instead of vectors? Like back in the day, there was a decision where we decided, okay, well, we need some assets that need to scale appropriately without just becoming blocky bitmap artifacts. Vectors are great at scaling, but scaling in the sense of zooming,. Nine patches, they do something different, the stretch specific regions of an image. It's not about zooming. It's about really stretching or shrinking something.
