The Importance of Flux in Training

When I was coaching high school, we had this five mile hill loop. We'd push the hills a little bit to a degree because we'd get this natural kind of flux period. And then you did inevitably have to keep things going,. But you'd recover on the downhill or whatever you're doing. So it created this natural flux environment for traditional tempos.
