The Mindfulness Process of Grief
The Buddha said the difference between individuals who are healthy and wise is they to grieve and experience painful events. But unlike individuals who are not informed as spiritually evolved, individuals who do have a spiritual practice have the ability not turn it into a personal shameful event. They don't drape it in self pity. And so the Buddha said, and so doing, we shoot ourselves with a second dart that we make the pain even more unbearable. We have a process of feeling grief. In Buddhism, the process is the mindfulness process. We break down grief into its core constituent processes. And it's sodoing, we make it a little less unbearable.
