The Disappointment of Medical Training

Medical training does not afford you the knowledge or expertise to opine confidently on many of those kind of like sociological types of things, unfortunately. You look at people that come in the hospital and a lot of times we're buffing them up, you know, and then discharging them to conditions that are incompatible. That's an everyday experience for me with substance use issues ... It's horrific. But your ability to change the world from that is limited, although frustrating.
