The Rise and Fall of Worth
Under the guidance of Jean Philippe and Gaston Worth, the house continued to flourish. A whole new generation of celebrated beauties became clients as many of their mothers had been before them. In 1901, they brought in a very young, 22-year-old assistant designer in an effort to evolve with the times. It was only a couple years before Parre grew restless at worth and left to set up his own shop - resulting in the two houses becoming rivals.
