Do You Have a Pleasurable Experience?

I know several people who've donated a kidney to a complete stranger because they accepted that they can live quite adequately with one kidney. There are people on waiting lists for getting a kidney who have very poor quality of life on dialysis who may die before they ever get to the point of having a kidney. They didn't derive any pleasure from the knowledge that it helps someone in that manner I certainly don't think pleasure that they were helping anyone was the motivation for doing what they did.
