The Effects of Sleep Deprivation on Metabolism
When we're sleep deprived, our cortisol levels are quite high in our brain. Serotonin is secreted the most when you eat high fat, high carbohydrate foods. It literally makes you feel more comfortable because it lowers your cortisol level. And those three things that all seem to happen during stage three for sleep is really what beauty sleep is about.
