The Stoics Experience Joy and Happiness and Pleasure

Epictetus says, me, I delight in my own improvement day to day. That's where the Stoic finds joy and happiness and pleasure. The way I related to that mark was something that required enormous discipline - running my first marathon this year. It instantly reminded me of the feeling I had when I had finished. But it was as equally this, like a deep peacefulness and satisfaction for getting it done.
