The Way of Truth by Parmenides

Rational argument has shown us that things like heavenly bodies and the human body are mere illusions. Yet parmenides seems to think it is worth while to give an account of them. He seems to tell us, if you are going to reject my way of truth and believe something false, then at least leave the falsehoods i offer in the way of opinion. The imary message of parmenides poem though, is that we should not trust the senses, but follow philosophical argument wherever it leads. Let's follow it down the path less travelled, the way of truth.
