Are Affirmations Helpful When They Are Not Helpful?

Research shows that affirmations when they surround particular goals like running a marathon or seeing myself get the promotion can actually trick our brains into an even our metabolisms and physiologically into believing that we've done the work needed. Boredom often is signaling that, yeah, we might be getting through our jobs but you don't have enough growth and learning in your life. You know, grief is love. Grief is love looking for its home. And so you asked about affirmations and affirmations in of themselves when they are about ignoring difficult emotions are not helpful. We're just connecting and seeing and hugging and being with that person is a move towards your values.
