The genetic control of blue allureone was on the 4H and 7H chromosomes in barley. We detected mostly that 4H was the kind of driving factor for what differentiated the blues versus the whites. No malting characters were identified to have a genetic control on that chromosomal R. What we did notice for malting characters, they were primarily controlled on the long gamma 5H.
