What Is Mental Contrasting?

Mental contrasting is a concept anta contrasting of the future and the reality. It came out of research where we found that sheer positive pantasizing is just not enough to actually reach the positive pantasies in actuality. What it is, it's a mentallexercise where people imagine the desired future, and then they imagine the obstacles of reality that stands way. And by doing that, they understand how likely it is that they will actually be able to achieve the desired future.
