The companies that are really surging are probably spending half of monthly spend on advertising and customer acquisition, maybe two thirds. If they haven't figured out how to spend money to get customers, that means the valuation might be much lower. For market places, you really want to look at how often the transactions are occurring. And hopefully people are using their services multiple times a day, multiple times a week because their low cost per transaction.
