How to Evaluate Quality Mental Models

Mental models are just their simplifications of the world. Why do plants grow? Oh, well, we have a mental model called photo synthesis and that explains why plants grow. And then why do animals look the way we do? Oh, we have another mental model,. It's called evolution, and we can explain that. And so in a lot of ways, i kind of view these concepts regardless of what discipline they come from. They're like a set of glasses, you know, it’s like a different lens -  sometimes i'm going to put on this lens, and that lets me see the world through the color yellow or red.
