How to Monitor Your Breath Without Judgment
Breathing is a relatively understudied aspect of sensory processing, and he how that relates to well being. People who are focusing on the breathing show less cortical activity than p the same people when they're focusing on the circle. The whole brain seems like it quiets down in even when controlling for changes in breathing rate. It cons less oxygen am than the brain would normally consume n youre focusing on something out in the world. But that doesn't really mean focus, right? That just means the absence, perhaps, of judgment, also absence of other types of mental processes.
