In the introduction he talks about his 36 principles of learning. They're gradually brought out throughout the book in short lists. He says if we have to learn these principles from video games and not from a field with as boring a name as cognitive science then so be it. I just find it kind of weird that there's a little sense of disdain for cognitive science maybe perhaps it's not like thatperhaps on the other hand he's saying why does everyone disdain cognitive science?
