Working with companies over so many years has really just cemented getting the fundamentals right early on. The more you give people structure to do things like brainstorm their purpose or think about their category, the more likely you are to land somewhere good. You can have your own internal goals, but for external messaging, what is the change you want to see in the world? And i'd think a lot of people care less about that than they should.
