I think the challenge is, people do seem to like it. Or the incentives are pretty clear. The money they make from advertising depends on how many people or on their screens and for how long. And i like what arnold clang wrote about it a a while back. He said if you don't like facebook, you thought you find it, parts of it unpleasant or inadequate, or whatever it is, build a better one. It's hard, cause there's a big network, and we care about how many people we anter act with on these platforms.
