The Effect of Temperature on Fat Oxidation Rate
This is a study that looks at the effect of temperature on your ability to metabolize fat. And I originally saw it in the context of what this means for being in a warmer climate because as the temperature rises during summer and people that live closer to the equator, their ability to metabolizing carbohydrate is improved. So actually during the summer months, we're able to tolerate more fruit and more of thankfully those Christmas goodies. It is going to have potentially less of a blood sugar effect than what it might have in the darker cooler winter months. But if you're adding another couple of percent to your fat max sessions, there's a reason to do it and to consider temperature.
