I wouldn't want anybody to panic that their child's distress at bedtime is going to ruin their long-term health. The most important thing is for us as parents to stay regulated and give them a safe place to kind of bump up against, but to not push back. And so I think it's okay for the child to be distressed about bedtime, but the parent lets them know,. It's even okay to be upset at bedtime, and this is still the routine we're going to go through.
