Should I Sleep for Longer Hours on the Weekends?

During the week I average five hours of total sleep. My question is should I continue to sleep for longer hours on the weekends to quote unquote catch up or would it be better to keep a consistent sleep schedule all seven days so my body doesn't get out of rhythm on the weekends. The research says consistency is actually more important than catching up which is so weird like it's flies in the face of everything we've ever done. If you're still going to bed within that I'll say plus or minus 45 minutes that's not going to throw anything out of whack.
