The Power of Stimulation

You wrote a book about this subject matter about addiction and screens. This sort of incessant need for distraction that we seem to have developed. I think the biggest thing for me was I'd always imagined that addiction and the need for this kind of stimulation was a sort of personality thing. But I became absolutely convinced by it, not only by the book and what I was researching, but by understanding how many of us fall prey to these devices. It's just about being human, that if you know how to push the right buttons in a human, you can turn that human as you can with rats and monkeys and other animals into a bit of a fiend for whatever is that it needs.
