Stomping your feet on the ground is a great way to stay grounded in the present moment. If you were to do box breathing, visualization and exercise every day, you would be very, very much less likely to have a dissociative episode in the future. Of course, it takes time and there's the processing of the trauma, yes, but all of these things really help you stay in that present moment.
