Is High Intensity Exercise Good for Test Takers?
The overwhelming majority of studies show improvements in working memory, recall and similar tests of memory with both chronic and acute exercise exposures. High intensity exercise right before the test is not good for test taking that people tend to do a little bit worse. There's like a transient decline in cognitive ability right after high intensity exercise. The most interesting thing I saw had it really seemed to parallel the vaccination sort of thing where we saw like when people got a vaccine and then they exercise afterwards,. People got a more robust response if they exercised after receiving a vaccine.
