The Doomsday Argument

The Dunes argument is the idea that you should reason as if you were a random sample from the set of all humans that will ever have existed. So to keep things simple, let's suppose there are only two hypotheses. Either that will be 200 billion in total, or 200 trillion in total. And corresponding now to the idea of reaching into the urn and pulling out ball number seven, we're supposed to increase the likelihood that there are only few balls in the urns. But if you do accept that, then the rest follows pretty straightforwardly.
