The Importance of Testing for Launch Failures

The negative outcome is that players, well, don't come back and those long tail numbers don't go up. This is why testing well and testing often is very vital. The most common ones I see are the failure to adequately test their back end. So in the industry, we like to simulate launch failures. Think of it like the chaos monkey scenario, right? We're going to throw everything at it and watch it catch fire, analyze the ashes, and then we come back and we get ready for launch.
