The Importance of Progressive Hamstring Loading

The main takeaway really is to not be completely scared of pain. Don't completely avoid pain. That doesn't mean starting acting like a cowboy and just doing high-load stuff with no criteria to progress. You've still got to have a system in place, but that system should be individualized based on pain tolerance. As long as the athlete feels comfortable to allow low levels of pain, we can probably progress a little bit earlier than what's commonly recommended.
