But back by the moms Melinda doggedly pursued her cause and eventually won out. The presence of children makes adult conscious of their responsibilities as mammals. Grown ups first, employees second. Third our children care, our child care, maternal and paternal leave and flex time policies allow women to advance in the company. It costs Patagonia roughly $50,000 on average to recruit, train and get up to speed a new employee.
