How to Make a Catch and Swim a Stroke

Most athletes have a palm of their hand pointing straight down and their fingers pointing at the wall in front of them. By swimming that way, they're simply pushing down on the water. Good swimmers have a catch as long as their arm is even longer because they've learned how to lengthen their stroke. So that becomes a technique I teach. What I found in my camps is that 90% of the swimmers who do that, who learn the technique, improve their 500 swim times.
