Is There a Difference Between Fast and Mixed?
John Canova: We often have these simple paradigms of like, fast twitch or slow twitch. But even if all we did was do 40 meter sprints, we would transition some of our fibers from pure fast twitch to more of the kind of murky, you know, hybrid in the middle. And I think that's such a wonderful analogy to what we're doing in the rest of training and how it doesn't work that way. He says when you center it like Canova or Bond or anyone else who has done research on running around the race pace, that threshold work has a different impact depending on what you're trying to accomplish.
