The Start-All Habituation Paradigm in Experienced Meditators

For an experienced meditator who is truly open to the experience, there shouldn't be habituation to repetitive stimuli. In start-all paradigm, we play quite loud bursts of white noise to people through headphones. Even if you ask non-meditators to continue paying attention to the start-alls, you don't see the start-all reflex. But for a meditator, that openness underlies the well-being partly because one of our problems is that we have to wait to stimuli very quickly.
